The Perfect Picnic ist ein Song aus der Disneyland Records-Langspielplatte The Story and Songs of the Orange Bird (1971). Er wurde von den Sherman Brothers komponiert, von Anita Bryant und den Mike Sammes Singers gesungen und der Text stammt ebenfalls von den Sherman Brothers. Im Hörspiel wird das Lied gesungen, als Orange Bird mit einer Menschenfamilie picknickt.

Trivia

Der Lehrfilm „Foods and Fun: A Nutrition Adventure“ hat eine ähnliche Handlung wie „The Story and Songs of the Orange Bird“, was dafür sorgte, dass sich einige Lieder thematisch sehr ähneln: „Sing All Day“ auf der Schallplatte passt zu „Das Vogel-Lied“ und „The Perfect Picnic“ zu „Family picnic“.

Picknicks sind auch das Thema späterer Disneylieder, zum Beispiel das Lied „Picnic of the Year“ aus der „Sofia die Erste“-Folge „Die großen Picknick-Spiele“ und das Lied „We're Havin' a Picnic“ aus der „Micky Maus Wunderhaus“-Folge „Minnies Picknick“.
